Obergefell v. Hodges

Every once in a while, there is an event that everybody seems compelled to comment on. Almost always, the comments are all very similar, and therefore obvious. And yet, the compulsion remains, because it is such an important issue. It seems that this is the case with Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage, and I will submit to the compulsion. Continue reading “Obergefell v. Hodges”

A Young Conservative

I desperately, with all my heart desire to treat everyone around me with respect, as adults, as equals. I ache to find the words to express how profoundly I want to love everyone I meet with a love that says, “Yes. I approve of you. I’m not the best, and you’re not the best. We are just two people on this adventure of life, and it’s good.” I want that so, so much. It is a vision of the world I see ever before me, and by grace I taste its sweetness once in a blue moon. Censorship, Sorta

Alright, this one is about something that has plagued me for a long time. Right from the start, I should say that my opinions on this subject are definitely just opinions, I have even less of an idea in this than in other things. Also, it is very possible that my vision is clouded by my own passions and interests. A strong evidence for this is that the majority of adults whom I respect disagree with me. But the same was true of Luther. So try to keep that in mind as I continue. Continue reading “Censorship, Sorta”

Argument from Logic

If anyone out there actually cares about this blog, then I apologize. It’s been like a month and half since I posted. Lately some things have captured my thoughts completely, and I only recently have started thinking about fun things again. This discussion is built off of a previous post that you can find here. There I attempted to demonstrate that free will cannot exist in a naturalistic universe. Well it’s not really built off it, but it is related and it would be good to keep in mind that free will doesn’t exist in naturalism.  Anyways. Here we go. Continue reading “Argument from Logic”

Musicks: Zula

So, this new theme. I like it a lot, except for one thing. I think that it is very difficult to distinguish paragraphs. If anyone is out there looking at this, I would greatly appreciate a comment telling me whether you agree or not. (And no, I am unable to have a blank paragraph in between each real paragraph. WordPress deletes it.) Anyway, on to Zula. Continue reading “Musicks: Zula”
